The Winner Of The Favorite Poptropica Costume Is The Leprechaun

Here is a video about a mad leprechaun in Mystery Train Island. Can you guess who is the leprechaun?Leave your Poptropica's Username in the comment box below and your Poptropican will be posted at our Forum! Please use your Gmail account to comment.

The description about Leprechauns:

St. Patrick’s Day will soon be here and to get everyone in the mood for celebration, the creators released a new costume into the Poptropica Store. It’s the Leprechaun costume and as you probably guessed, if you put it on you’ll look just like a Leprechaun. The outfit comes with a special power, too. Press the spacebar while you’re wearing it and you’ll do a little Irish jig. It’s a great way to celebrate the holiday this weekend. Expect to see a lot of Poptropicans wearing green in the multiplayer rooms on Saturday.I think the costume looks best when you combine it with the Minimizer power to make yourself into a wee little Leprechaun.

More Details about Poptropolis Games Island

Poptropolis Games

A day after announcing and posting the trailer for Poptropolis Games, the Poptropica creators have followed up with some more details about the new island. First, there’s now an official island info page for Poptropolis Games. And this is the description of the story behind the new island.

Once every 100 years, the ancient capital of Poptropica — Poptropolis — rises from the sea to host a tournament created to prove tribal supremacy. Each of the tribes of Poptropica sends a representative to compete across a series of grueling events for a chance to become the Champion of Poptropica. Do you have what it takes to vanquish the competition and win glory for your tribe?

They also gave some more details on the members-only bonus quest that will be available at launch. It seems that an ancient warrior will return to reclaim the championship for himself. This is presumably after you’ve won for you and your tribe and captured the island medallion. He’s the toughest competitor in the history of the games and you’ll need to beat him to finish the bonus quest.

The members-only items were also revealed. They will include:

Wrestling Singlet Costume
Plant-a-Statue Power
Discus

The Wrestling Singlet Costume will only be available during the Early Access period

The Next Island Has Been Announced !!!

The name of the next island in Poptropica has been announced and it will be called (just as we guessed) Poptropolis. Specifically, the name of the new island is Poptropolis Games. Of course, no details have yet been announced, like a launch date, but the creators have posted a sneak peek video and you can watch it here.

The island will have an Olympics theme, set to coincide with the real Summer Olympics this year. You’ll compete as part of a “tribe” in a series of events modeled after the ancient (rather than modern) Olympics. It looks like the storyline will involve an ancient city rising up from below the ocean, similar to Atlantis. Other than that, very little else is known. Keep visiting this page for all the cheats for Poptropolis Games as they are revealed.

Poptropolis Games Screenshots

Based on images posted in the Sneak Peeks section of Daily Pop over the past several weeks, we can put together some guesses as to what events and competitions will be part of the Poptropolis Games. Take a look for yourself!

Poptropolis Games Trivia

Did you know that Poptropolis was probably one of the original names for Poptropica? The domain name poptropolis.com is owned by Pearson Education, the company that publishes Poptropica and it appears they’ve owned the name since 2007, when Poptropica was launched. Right now, if you type in poptropolis.com, it just goes to Poptropica itself. So this name has probably been an idea there for a while. Some readers have also pointed out that some of the original Poptropica Wallpaper images featured the same “ancient statues” that never appeared until now…when Poptropolis Games was announced!

Poptropica Mysteries Part 2

Poptropica Mysteries - Monster Carnival Island

A long time ago, in a Poptropica far, far away, there was once a plan to launch an island called Monster Carnival Island. It even appeared on the map as coming soon in 2008. But before it launched, it disappeared completely and was replaced with 24 Carrot Island. Since then, Poptropica players have often wondered what became of Monster Carnival Island.

The Poptropica Creators made one quick reference to it in the Sneak Peeks section of Daily Pop. In February of 2011, a sketch called, The Wayback Machine appeared and referenced a long-rumored, never completed island. It featured a carnival setting inside a tent with a ringleader and a crowd. The caption for the sketch gave us our first real clue of why Monster Carnival Island never appeared: it simply wasn’t finished.

Sketch of Monster Carnival Island

There have been lots of monster themed items and events in the game since the island mysteriously came and went, but there have not been any attempts to revive it, even despite a petition to bring it back. There was briefly hopes that it would return when strange monster screenshots turned up in Daily Pop and on the Creators blog, but those turned out to be for Cryptids Island. Will we ever see Monster Carvival Island? Only time will tell. Until then, it remains a Poptropica Mystery.

Mysteries of the Construction Guy and Balloon Boy at Counterfeit Island.

Post image for Mysteries of the Construction Guy and Balloon Boy

OK, thank you to everyone in the comments who points out that Construction Guy does appear in Counterfeit Island. He’s blocks the way to certain parts of the island when night comes. I must have missed him. And there’s one new update to Balloon Boy. You can see him in the background when you’re on the Scooter chase sequence (see the screenshot below). Go, Balloon Boy, go!

A lot of people are writing comments asking what happened to the Construction Guy in Counterfeit Island. If you remember back in November, the creators posted some sneak peek screenshots of characters we would meet in Counterfeit Island. The first turned out to be the security guard up in the museum security office. The third is the woman who leads the tour of the underground tunnels. But the guy in the middle, who is wearing coveralls and a construction helmet, doesn’t seem to appear anywhere on the island. Did we miss him or did he get dropped from the island before it was released? Have you seen him on Counterfeit Island? If so, post in the comments!

Many people are also asking what happens to Balloon Boy. When you give him a green balloon, he takes off in the air. If you don’t have access to Counterfeit Island yet, you can see him at about one minute into Part 1 of my Counterfeit Island Walkthrough video. This is a joke by the Poptropica Creators that references the big Balloon Boy hoax from October when everyone thought a young boy from Colorado was trapped inside a giant weather balloon that had taken off from his parent’s backyard. In Counterfeit Island’s joke version, we see little Balloon Boy fly off into the air but never return. You can watch the TV in the Web Cafe and see scenes of him flying away. But what will happen to poor little Balloon Boy in Poptropica? Will we ever see him again? We need answers!

Hey Poptropicans!There is Balloon Boy!
