Hey everybody!I have seen some sneak peeks showing about the Olympics And I was STARTLED.
Will there be an Island about Olympics?Not sure but I have Interviewed and seen what Poptropicans said about this.
Busy Seagull: Wow, noticing the Olympic style sneak peeks, I'm REALLY looking forward to this island! The Olympics, as mentioned in the thread "Twisted Thicket," is coming up this summer. How better to celebrate such a world-renowned event on Poptropica than to create an island for it?
The Olympics first got it's start in Ancient Greece-it has nothing to do with Roman gladiators. The Origin of the Olympic Games
Also, the famous Marathon also has it's origins in Ancient Greece. Battle of Marathon How did the ancient olympics transpire into the modern Olympics? It was all do to a man named Pierre de Coubertin. Pierre de Coubertin, Founder of the Modern Olympics.
So, what are your thoughts? Are you excited? Do you think it will be the next island after Twisted Thicket?
Dangerous Leaf: Yeah, looking at the sneak peeks, this'll probably be after Twisted Thicket. Well, the Olympics originally were supposed to be to honor Zeus and the other gods. There was only one event back then, the foot races.
Im excited for this island though, because as it originated in Greece, we might be traveling to Greece again, like for Mythology Island! Oh, and for those that don't know, I love Greek mythology.
